Lindsey Fontana-Dreszer, CTC
Originally from Massachusetts, I graduated from New York University and spent several years working in advertising in San Francisco before catching the dog training bug. While in San Francisco, I started to volunteer for local shelters and rescues then for Best Friends Animal Society. I found my volunteer work so rewarding that I decided to change my career.
After a year spent studying dog behavior, dog body language, and how dogs learn while volunteering at shelters across the country, I participated in an Immersion Program at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley’s nationally-renowned Training and Behavior Center. I was able to further build my training skills while working with some of the best trainers in the country.
The Immersion Program led me to my dream role helping dogs and their families as a part of the Training and Behavior Center’s team of trainers. While at Boulder Humane, I spent thousands of hours training dogs from the shelter and the community with fear, anxiety, and aggression. I taught classes on a huge variety of topics from puppy socialization, to aggression with other dogs, to basic manners, to off leash skills. I also conducted court-ordered aggressive animal evaluations for the Boulder County court system.
In 2019, I started my own business to work more closely with people and their dogs, helping them to better understand each other and strengthen their relationships, and I’ve loved it ever since. I also run Dogby, a company that sells educational subscription boxes to further my goal of helping dog owners learn more about their dogs and have fun, enriching lives with them.
I live in Chestnut Hill with my husband, 2 young kids, and our dog, Max. When I’m not training dogs, you can find me hiking, biking, skiing, and generally enjoying New England nature.
